Going digital for your comfort
Digital radiographs offer a number of advantages over traditional radiographs. Probably the biggest advantage is less radiation exposure for the patient. The image is immediate and there is no need for processing film with chemicals, so it's more environmentally friendly. Digital x-rays can also be stored on computer for easier transmittal, retrieval and archiving. Digital x-ray technology saves our patients from receiving 90% radiation exposure. It's much more comfortable and takes less time.
We can also use digital imaging to help you envision your new smile. We take a digital photograph of your face. We download this into the computer, and then use a cosmetic dentistry computer-imaging program to place the smile style of your choice with your face.
No more needles
The Wand has the ability to use different injection sites that provide comfortable anesthesia without the associated tongue and facial numbness associated with conventional local anesthesia. Over 50% of people fear anesthetic syringes, the shot. The Wand does not look like an anesthetic syringe nor is handled like one. The flow of anesthetic is foot-controlled leaving the thumb free to help carefully insert the anesthetic. A computer controlled unit delivers precise pressure and volume ratios (flow rate) of anesthetic. The computer senses the amount of resistance to flow and adjusts accordingly. It also creates an "anesthetic pathway" or "drip" ahead of the needle. The combination of anesthetic pathway and controlled flow rate results in a virtually imperceptible injection
