Emergency Dental Treatment

Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is a procedure done by an endodontist when the pulp inside the root canal of the tooth is damaged or has died. The endodontist performs the root canal by cleaning out the diseased pulp and reshaping the canal. The tooth's root canal is then filled with gutta percha, a rubberlike material, to prevent recontamination of the tooth. Finally, the endodontist then permanently seals the tooth with a dental crown. A root canal eliminates the infected or dead material both providing relief of the pain and, more importantly, preserving the original tooth.
